Phone Scam Alert

We recently became aware of a telephone scam circulating throughout the country. Credit Union members are receiving automated messages claiming their VISA card has been suspended and instructing them to call an 800 number to reactivate the card.

Do not call the 800 number, call your credit union first.

Fraud Alert - 7/18/08

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is reminding the public to be alert to ongoing financial scams that attempt to solicit funds from unsuspecting victims.

FinCEN does not send unsolicited requests and does not seek personal or financial information from members of the public.

Always call your credit union should you receive a call or letter requesting personal or financial information.

GAP insurance now available at your credit union. Ask for details when you finance your new or used vehicle at the credit union.

Fantasy Island Good Any Day Tickets are available at your credit uion for $17.00. Children 2 and under are free. Tickets are valid weekends beginning May 10th and daily June 19th - September 1st. Fantasy Island is closed Mondays. Also open weekends September 6, 7 and 13-14, 2008.

Financial institutions do not request personal or sensitive info via E-mail.
Do not use links provided in Emails. Put links in your favorites or type in the web address. Many scams use the Email method with links provided to get your information illegally.

DUE to recent legislation and capital market turmoil, Great Lakes has temporarily suspended access to their on-line application called "Consolidation Loan Assistant" on www.mygreatlakes.org. Interested borrowers should contact Great Lakes at 1-800-950-0152 to receive loan counseling before completing their Consolidation Application and Promissory Note. Great Lakes will re-evaluate their decision soon.

Your credit union is partnering with CUNA Mutual Group to promote the Credit Union Alternative Loan (CUAL) Program. Click hereto access student loan information and to apply online. Wisconsin and Minnesota are the only states that participate in this program. Also, to be eligible schools cannot be a direct lending school or less than a two year school.
